What the manifestation and abundance space keeps calling misalignment is often the exact opposite — you may be in alignment. But it just doesn’t feel the way you were told it would.

“Feel good before you take action”, they say.

“Make sure you vibe is high”, they say

“Ignore the fact that you’re not building or creating — it will all come to you”, they say

Well I call Baloney!

Not because I don’t believe in manifestation… I do. I practice it, and i’ve manifested wonderful things, such as living in the tropics by the beach where currency conversion is cheap and the neighbors are friendly, money coming in at the final hour more times than I can count… And my sexy husband who does everything for me and who I’m sure is stronger than a literal ox.

And that’s just the short list.

But for years, I’ve watched women who are otherwise brilliant, self-aware, and deeply committed to their own growth try to follow the ‘just be positive’ advice — while getting nowhere fast.

I’ve seen this exceptional woman. She has a goal. Usually big goals and big dreams she is all in on…. Her soul is pulling her toward something real, and its asking her to build. To build her life in collaboration with the Divine Mind — this great creative life-force power that some call God, others call the Universe or Infinite Intelligence…

And it’s guiding her.

She sees the books she wants to write… The business she wants to lead at higher levels than she already is… She sees a version of herself she can feel waiting on the other side of a specific decision.

She’s been in the manifestation community… or the abundance community… or the feminine embodiment space — or all three at once. She knows so many processes…

But the problem is she also thinks she knows what alignment is supposed to feel like — expansive, clear, easeful, magnetic.

She has been told, in various forms, that when she is aligned with her true path, it will feel right in her body. And when it doesn’t feel right, that’s her intuition telling her it’s not the aligned move.

So she waits.

She waits to feel good about the phone call. She waits to feel expansive about the video. She waits to feel clear about the launch. She waits for the aligned feeling that will let her know it’s safe to move.

And it doesn’t come.

She thinks she is doing something wrong.

And she is.

She isn’t doing her part — she isn’t taking the action she’s being guided to take… Waiting to feel better to BE the person before doing it. But you can not BE the person unless you express it physically into reality.

YES you can feel certain things before hand. YES it’s great to get as certain as you can and know it will work…But then when it comes time to complete the circuit to actualize the spiritual prototype into the physical… She halts.

Thinking she needs to feel better first.

Well I’m sorry if Abraham Hicks taught you this.

I used her methods many years ago religiously and they send me off a cliff and into a ditch. I do believe much of the spiritual law this mysterious entity spouts through her is sound… But the practical application to humans? Not so much.

The system I use that has helped myself and my clients manifest incredible amounts of opportunities, inner peace, happy relationships and actual physical STUFF…

Is 1. Based in facing the negative parts in authenticity and not just side stepping them like her entity teaches. And 2. Based in taking terrified action after dissolving and updating the subconscious architecture in the body so your new abilities become unlocked. 3. Learning from the experience and trying again and 4. Using the power of the Divine Mind within, utlising faith and decree… Plus a bonus 5. Detach. Detach. And love your life now.

And this is why I feel so called to speak out for the woman with big dreams, who is just waiting to feel better. I invite you to place your hand on your heart to really let this land:

Alignment is NOT a feeling. It’s a direction, and a matching to the life and person who lives in that reality. And if that person is speaking on video to hundreds or thousands of people… And you tense up when you hit record because of a secret fear of judgement… don’t you think to match the reality where you are watched by a larger audience… Don’t ya think thats gonna feel scary? It is!

And THAT is alignment, my beautiful friend.

Alignment means you are moving in the direction of the person you are becoming. It means the action you are about to take is congruent with the version of you who has the life you say you want. That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

It does not mean you will feel good about it. It does not mean it will feel expansive. It does not mean your body will register calm, magnetic clarity as you approach the moment of the action.

Very often, alignment feels absolutely terrible.

Because if you want to become someone you are not currently — someone who leads publicly, someone who is seen at scale, someone who holds more money, more visibility, more life than she is currently holding — then the aligned action requires you to do things the current version of you has never done. Or has done and been punished for. Or has done and had her nervous system flooded with terror by.

The aligned action is the one that pulls you into the next version. And the next version, by definition, is unfamiliar. Unfamiliar to the nervous system reads as danger. Danger produces the exact opposite of what the manifestation space told you alignment would feel like.

And so women, thousands of them, take the terrible feeling as the signal that they are misaligned. They pull back. They wait. They try to get into a better feeling state first. And the life they say they want keeps waiting on the other side of the action they cannot bring themselves to take.

Let me give you an example, because this pattern is easier to see in someone else than it is to see in yourself.

I heard a recording once of a man asking Abraham Hicks for advice.

He had been trying, for one entire year, to make a specific business call.

A cold call about an opportunity he genuinely wanted.

He had listened to Abraham’s teaching, and he was doing what he had been told — he was trying to get himself into a better feeling state before making the call. Because you don’t take action from a low vibration. You wait until you feel good, and then you take the aligned action from that place.

For an entire year, he could not get himself to feel good enough.

He asked her what to do.

Her answer, and I want you to hear this clearly, was: keep waiting. Keep getting yourself into a better feeling state.

I think this is rubbish.

I want to be specific about why. I do not think Abraham Hicks is worthless. There is genuine value in some of her teachings on spiritual law, and I’ve taken things from her work myself. But I do not believe she is literally channeling God, or the source of all wisdom, or an infallible transmission of universal truth. She’s likely channeling something. But the advice, in this instance and in many like it, is skewed. So it doesn’t work for humans who have any trauma at all in the specific area the goal lives in.

Because the only thing that would have made that man feel better about the call is making the call. That’s when he would have felt the pride — or proudness, as I call the positive self-approval feeling. That’s when he would have overcome the fear.

That’s when his body would have registered it wasn’t so terrible and updated its threat assessment for next time. Thats when the next step of reality could drop in to meet him in his goal — literally rendering reality like a computer game! But it can’t render until you complete that part of the mission, can it?

The advice she gave him kept him stuck for a year. Probably longer, unless he eventually stopped listening. Because the advice was built on a foundational misunderstanding of what alignment actually is.

Alignment is not the feeling that comes before the action. Alignment is the action itself.

Now, here is what I want to be careful about, because I don’t want to swing this too far in the other direction. I am not saying you should just push through everything, ignore your body, override your fear, and force yourself into every uncomfortable action a coach tells you is aligned. That is the other extreme, and it produces its own kind of damage.

There is a version of pushing that is misaligned. If you find yourself putting the ladder against the wrong wall — pushing toward a version of success that isn’t actually yours, or that belongs to someone else’s map, or that your soul has never truly consented to — the pushing will feel wrong in a specific way. Not because it’s hard. Because it’s not yours.

That’s a different signal.

The way you tell the difference is not the presence or absence of fear. Fear is present in both. The way you tell is that when you imagine the future on the other side of the aligned action — even the scary aligned action — an image easily drops in. You can see it. You can feel a solidness underneath the fear. There is a version of you in that future, and she is available to you when you look.

The misaligned pushing does not have this. You try to imagine the future and there is nothing. Or there is stress, or shakiness, or the sense that you are trying to convince yourself. You think you should want it. You feel a bit off about it. But you try anyway, because logically it seems like the right move. That’s the no signal. That’s your system telling you the ladder is against the wrong wall.

This distinction is what your intuition actually gives you access to. Not does this feel good right now. But when I imagine myself on the other side of this, does an image easily drop in, and is there solidness underneath the fear… And, will I feel better after doing this — or drained and depleted? Resentful or bitter?

If you know it will lift you up and add to your life, this is a sure sign it takes you in the right direction. But sometimes to know for sure… You have to do the damn thing and learn from the experience of how it plays out.

When tuning into your intuition, does it feel expansive, or solid and steady? And do images or ideas about what happens next, even vaguely easily drop into your mind?

If yes — do it terrified. That’s alignment.

If no — reconsider the direction. That’s likely misalignment.

One caveat — sometimes it can feel contracted, shaky and blocked not because it’s the wrong way but because you have a framework of beliefs about what it would mean to achieve it… Such as being unsafe, too much responsibility, or just not who you are. This is part of the game of life, so embrace the experiment.

The takeaway from this

If you have been waiting to feel aligned before you take the action — please stop.

If you have been interpreting your fear as a sign you are on the wrong path — please reconsider.

If you have been trying to get into a better feeling state for months or years before doing the thing your soul is asking you to do — please recognize that the better feeling state is on the other side of the action, not before it.

Alignment is a direction. Move in it. Terrified is fine. Uncomfortable is fine. Uncertain is fine. What matters is the direction.

The version of you who has the life you say you want is not on the other side of a better feeling state. She is on the other side of the aligned action. Every one of them. Especially the ones you have been waiting to feel good about.

You do not have to feel good to be aligned. You have to be moving toward her.

That is the whole thing.
